EHS will dismiss at 12:50 p.m., the middle schools at 1:35 p.m., intermediate schools (grades 3-5) at 2:40 p.m. and primary schools (grades K-2) at 2:50 p.m.
The first day of school is just 11 days away, but The first day of school is just 11 days away, but Leclaire Elementary School principal Donny Gunter and his secretary Ms. Toni didn't want to wait that long to see their students. So on Friday afternoon, the duo took to the streets of some Leclaire neighborhoods to visit some of those kiddos. (And we're not sure who was more excited to see who!) #d7proud
Earlier this week, District #7 administrators and Earlier this week, District #7 administrators and principals got to experience first hand what driving a school bus is like. While they weren’t out on the streets and didn’t have a bus full of kids, they were challenged with completing different stations that included parallel parking and driving around cones just to name a couple.

District #7 appreciates all of our drivers at First Student and thank them for safely delivering our students to and from school!

Last week’s G.O. Camp was a success! Lincoln and Last week’s G.O. Camp was a success! Lincoln and Liberty students had a fun week filled with team building activities, leadership development, and service opportunities. Their enthusiasm and excitement is fun to watch. Camp included guest speakers, time for our kids to plan activities for the 2022-23 school year, service opportunities, and team building games!

A few highlights from camp include:

Eddie Slowakowski (keynote speaker): Eddie is a former world class runner and Gold Medal winner for the USA Track & Field Team. Eddie is the 169th American to run a mile in under 4 minutes with a time of 3:58! Eddie was 3-time Division 1 NCAA All-American and National cross country champion out of Loyola University in Chicago. Eddie was a former reporter in training at CNN before launching his own business. Eddie can channel that sense of accomplishment through interactive storytelling and raw emotion (info from his website)

2022-23 Activity Planning: Our student leaders had the opportunity to discuss and plan upcoming events at both Lincoln and Liberty. Encouraging our students to create positive activities in their building is one of the main components to camp. Our 8th grade student leaders helped guide and shape our social and service opportunities for 2022-23 school year.

School Improvement Day: The Liberty leaders spent one day working at Liberty on several school beautification projects while the Lincoln leaders worked at Lincoln providing input for the upcoming Wildcat Welcome. Both groups also had fun enjoying a scavenger hunt!

Team Building: Our leaders participated in several team building games throughout the week including a trip to the Go Ape adventure course. #d7proud

District #7 will be upgrading its email system bet District #7 will be upgrading its email system between July 15-20, 2022, and as a result, employees will be without email during that timeframe. All District e-mail will be down during that period, beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 15. The transition is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, July 20.

If parents or the public try to send an email to district or school staff during this timeframe, that email will NOT reach the desired recipient and senders will receive an “unable to deliver” response.

District and school staff also will NOT be able to check their email or respond to emails until the upgrade is completed.

During July 15-20, please contact the school or department directly by telephone to ensure communication reaches the proper personnel.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation while this process is completed.
