Jaguar News – Astronaut Lindgren
Dear Columbus Staff & Families,
I am so excited to share some amazing news regarding my cousin, Astronaut Kjell (pronounced: Chel) Lindgren. Kjell became an astronaut in June of 2009. His first mission was to the International Space Station as part of Expedition 44/45 on July 22, 2015 from Kazakhstan. This year, he has the opportunity to go on his 2nd launch to International Space Station where he will serve as the mission commander of the SpaceX Crew 4 mission. The launch is scheduled for April 15, 2022 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It will be a six-month mission focusing on biological science research. There will be astronauts on the SpaceX Crew representing three countries; United States, Russia, and Italy.
