EHS Holiday Concert

The Edwardsville High School Music Department put on a fantastic concert as they performed their annual Holiday Concert for more than two thousand people in attendance on December 4th.  Mrs. Voumard, Fine Arts Department Chair, stated “It is always great to see how supported the arts are in our community. Looking at the number of people who attended this concert; it is a testament to that.”

Thanks to the donations of the audience in attendance, the Music Department was able to again donate $1,600 to local charities and organizations.  This year’s donation went to the Main Street Community Center located at 1003 N. Mail Street in Edwardsville.  To date, the Music Department has donated over $14,000 to local charities and organizations.

EHS Earns National Recognition

District 7’s Edwardsville High School is one of only 250 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board with appointment to the 10th Annual Advanced Placement District Honor Roll. To be included on the Honor Roll, Edwardsville High School showed an increase in the number of students participating in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, while also increasing the percentage of students earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher. AP exams are scored on a 5-point scale. Reaching these goals demonstrates that the Edwardsville School District is successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students who are ready for Advanced Placement courses.
